You know you're in love when at those times you're apart, you find yourself gazing at the sky in the direction she lives and feeling some peace in knowing that you live under the same sky.

Reunited and it feels so good

Wow. The hits from Candy and the sweet people over at StealThatLook are wonderful. I hope that all my new visitors can make their presence known by giving a comment or just email-ing me. I really enjoy hearing from all of you.

One more month left to enjoy before school starts, and the piercing heat is suddenly replaced by intermittent rainshowers. Despite my fondness over rainy weather, it makes it hard for me to go from one place to another. Whaaa. I’ve been busy. I’m all over the place with so many assignments and responsibilities to handle and take care of. None of which are school-related, but more like ‘work-related.’ The perks are awesome, but I find myself obviously tempted to lie down and continue watching my endless supply of series. But no can do. What sucks most is that they are all happening at the same time, and I have no choice but to sacrifice one for the other. And it feels terrible when I know I’m letting someone down. First summer that I actually have loads of deadlines to meet. Good luck.

Onwards to more light-hearted events. You see, one of the best things about having time away from school work is the chance to allot precious moments with friends and family. Last school year, I was mostly engrossed with school, and it consumed me in a sense that I barely had time to catch up with people that I barely get to see everyday in Ateneo (ie: high school barkada, cousins). This time, I am making the most out of all kinds of reunions. So here are a few:

    With my cousins
    Extended families and cousins
Most of my cousins (of various degrees) are a bit older than my sisters and I. Some of them have kids already, are currently engaged and have just finished schooling. However, they are so much fun. And summer reunions with everyone present is great. We had cards over charcoal-on-your-face games. Crazy. Picture above shows my sisters and I going loco over my cousin’s baby, Audrey!

My HS TATU friends at Starbucks
    My lovely best friends
I’m super close with my high school barkada. Come the start of another school year, we will barely have time to see each other again. That’s the reason why we make the most out of every free time and schedule we have. Yes, we all make an effort, despite attending different colleges. A few days ago, those who were available met up to catch up and to enjoy each other’s company. It was especially nice seeing my friend, Ida after about a year of not seeing her! So much love there for them. Shoutout to my flygirl and BFF, Jazzy for making it to BAA.

    Block I boys at Natsumi's 18th
    Block I love
After enduring the most stressful SY with my block, I barely had a chance to get in touch with them this summer. Probably because we had our own respective summers to unwind after experiencing all the wraths of uhm… the ‘undesirables.’ Fortunately, my good friend Nats celebrated her 18th this summer. It was the perfect opportunity to see my blockmates once again! It’s amazing how my freshman year and sophomore year in college could be so different. And after everything I’ve been through and shared with them, I’ve grown to love all these crazy people. Puro lalaki talaga, diba? hahaha. I had so much fun that night. Sa uulitin, guys.

Little get-togethers and events that allow me to be with my friends and family are moments I cherish and look forward to most during homework and paper-less months.

How about you? What kind of reunions do you look forward to the most during summer?

I’m the opposite. I’m an only child, and all of my cousins are younger than me. They love playing Pokemon together, while I’m stuck babysitting them. But I love them so much, they’re so cute! :D
