Just got home from another tiring day at school. T-Th schedules are fun because I have POS61 (Contemporary Political Theory) with my favorite teacher, Dr. Yu-Jose. She’s just so much fun, and so good at making our class pay attention without compromising all the political thinking. We all love her. But despite all the work from the past few days including my incessant whining over blogathon duties and my unhealthy obsession over Heroes, I’ve been feeling particularly really good. All the emo-ness from last week has subsided, and I have found some sort of solace for the time being. Schizophrenic weather or not.

Anyway, thanks to Ms. Sweet Charity herself, Geegee, I have newfound love over a new musical called I Love You Because (sans the blog entry title).

From Actor’s PlayHouse.Org: Dubbed “a modern day musical love story,” I LOVE YOU BECAUSE is a sweet, funny and bubbly gender reversed modern day musical about the adventures of two brothers, one a stiff greeting card writer, the other free-spirited pedi-cab driver, and the women they date, a flaky photographer and an actuary.

Much like in “When Harry met Sally”, the couple at first dislike each other, then become friends, and, finally the couples in I Love You Because come together in spite of their dating philosophies.

Together, they explore the rules of dating in the big city as they learn how to love someone, not in spite of their differences, but because of them.

The songs are absolutely wonderful and very, very funny! Yet it’s still very, very sweet. I suggest taking time to listen and download it. As a teaser for you guys, I uploaded the song I Love You Because, which is on repeat in Shirley, my iPod. Download it here.
