Happy Happy 21
My internet has been quite screwy lately, which made me postpone blogging time, but now it’s all dandy and I actually have some time for myself to rest and recover from a little bit of everything. It’s not going to last long since I still have midterms, orals and a lot of org work to accomplish during the next few weeks. At this point, I might as well share a few happy happenings recently as I just turned twenty-one last Wednesday. :)

Birthday mornings are the best as I was already surprised by my family by baking a cake the night before. Flowers at 5am is also something I never expected. Greetings were pouring in and out from a lot of people (some I haven’t heard from a long time who actually remembered). (Thank you multiply, friendster, facebook, etc.) Your birthday is definitely one of those days that you feel ultimately loved.

It was a day well-spent with people I love. I had time to have my special breakfast, experience my 4-part gifts (that I personally feel made into 6!), share the joy with my lovely Fine Arts class, blockmates (picture picture at the caf. see photo above) and people from COA. My extraordinary Secretary-Treasurer for the Performing Arts Cluster, Josh, together with some of the COA peeps totally surprised me with a cake. I love them! (see photo below)
Day after my birthday, I had the chance to watch Panic at the Disco with one of my best friends, Dan. It was so much fun just because I have been recently hooked to their new album, Pretty Odd. They played a lot of their great songs, but once again, they didn’t play my ultimate favorite. It was still one of the most fun concerts I’ve ever attended. Grab their new album now!
Last Saturday was also quite special, as I finally got reunited with my High School barkada and select CBCD people that I hold dear to my heart. We had dinner at Myron’s Place in Greenbelt 5.

And like always, it was so much fun. I was happy to meet special friends, catch up on a lot of new stories, reminisce about a lot of things we’ve all been through and share my special night with people I love. It’s quite amazing really how despite going through different colleges and having our own little worlds, we are still as close as ever.

The past few months have given me quite a lot of things to celebrate for. I consider them wonderful blessings that I am extremely grateful for. And even if the stress sinks in every now and then from all the things I’m part of, I find myself consistently fulfilled in various ways.
Twenty-one just means I’m a senior, graduating next year and hopefully getting into the law school of choice. While everyone seems to be talking about what to do after they graduate, my heart is set out to study even more and eventually be a lawyer. And yes, I do get scared. What-ifs start pouring in, making me feel a little less secure. I have to keep that strong faith in my capabilities this time. There’s just so much at stake if I screw things over.
I’m not really sure if I actually feel older. I know I don’t look older! I have to admit that there have been a few changes in the way things work presently that I am enjoying very much. I’ve also been battling the colds recently, but I’m quite grateful I have today as my rest/bum day. It’s sort of a luxury nowadays, especially for someone like me. I’ll try to update again soon.
